Conclusions and Remedy:
There is no BART passenger pickup / dropoff zone available for 19th St. Oakland BART passengers. The red curbs for bus stops are underutilized, in spite of the fact that such bus stop red zones occupy most of the available curb space on Broadway between 17th and 21st Streets. This includes the side streets as well, for a full block on either side of Broadway.
The City of Oakland Department of Public Works should allocate curb space for a BART passenger pickup / dropoff zone(WHITE CURB), with space for at least 2-3 vehicles to stop comfortably, especially on Broadway between 19th St. and Thomas L. Berkley Way.
